We Need You
We would love to have your help in planting, removing invasives and doing small projects in Eastlake. Do you have experience in gardening, native plants, birding, or just want to help Eastlake or earn volunteer credits? We'd love to hear from you. Just contact us by email below and we will contact you and put you on our (infrequent) mail list.
Volunteer Opportunities
Landscapers, plant experts, ecology students
We’re working on rewilding Fairview Park, several areas of shoreline and possibly, if we can get the help, other areas along Fairview and above near the freeway. We would love to have the advice and help of those with knowledge of plants, plantings and resources that may be available. Perhaps a landscape architect student or class would take on an Eastlake area as a project?
Gardeners needed!
We need a few good gardeners to help improve and maintain an experimental native plant turning circle on Franklin Ave E and E. Hamlin and also to improve and maintain a site near Duck Bay. This would require about four hours a month - mostly in the spring and fall
Can you change some lawn to a native plant area?
Do you have a lawn or patch of lawn that we could change into a native plant area?
Rewild Eastlake can supply the plants and help with the planting (but you would have to maintain and water the garden afterwards). Ideally it would be somewhere we can put a sign so that neighbors can discover the benefits of changing lawn to native plantings.
